Founded in 1974, this beautiful golf course is located on the Heart River a
short drive east of Nampa. Several upgrades have been made to the course
over its existence and the result is a playable 9 hole course that always
delivers an enjoyable round.
The rolling, heavily forested terrain along the river provides a secluded and
scenic setting for golf. The heavy tree growth produces narrow fairways and
a course where golfers are always just a stroke away from an unplayable
lie. Other challenge is provided by the Heart River which is in play on all but
three of the course’s holes. In three cases the river lies close to the green
which means golfers will have to be careful on their approaches.
One of the tougher challenges on the course occurs on the 8th hole.
Players must place a straight tee shot of about 235 yards through a narrow
funnel to the corner of the fairway’s 90o dogleg. From there it’s a 100 yard
approach to a kidney shaped green protected by a pond in front and trees
to the sides and rear.
The campsite now has fully serviced lots with power & water.
